Meet the Physician Behind HipDecoded
I am an orthopedic surgeon with a particular focus on hip replacement surgery, including the Direct Anterior Approach (DAA).
For more than 10 years, I have been involved in caring for patients with hip conditions and performing hip replacement surgery.
Throughout my surgical practice, I have seen how much uncertainty patients and their families can experience before making treatment decisions.
Hip replacement is not simply about replacing a damaged joint. It is about relieving pain, restoring mobility, helping people regain their independence, and improving their quality of life.
My clinical interests include modern hip replacement techniques, particularly the direct anterior approach, which aims to access the hip joint through a muscle-sparing surgical interval and may offer advantages in early recovery for appropriately selected patients.
However, I also believe that successful treatment is not determined by the surgical approach alone. Careful patient selection, appropriate surgical techniques, realistic expectations, and well-planned rehabilitation are equally important.
My goal with HipDecoded is to share practical, evidence-informed medical knowledge in a clear and approachable way, helping patients better understand their condition and make informed decisions about their care.
